what happens
after the elopement is over

To read while preparing the trip

After your sunrise elopement and photoshoot, you’re back at your hotel or Airbnb. What’s next?

First, take a nap. Posing for photos can be tiring, especially after jetlag and all the preparations. Most couples feel like they’ve just run a marathon and need 4 to 5 hours of rest right after the shoot.

Once you’ve had some sleep, enjoy a quiet lunch at a local café or restaurant near your hotel. Paris is known for its amazing food, and it’s the perfect way to celebrate your wedding day. Stick to a nearby spot because even after the nap, you might still feel too tired to travel far. Booking it around 7-8 PM works well.

We don’t recommend scheduling any activities for the same day, as you’ll likely still be exhausted. Instead, take it easy, and save the actual wedding celebration dinner for the day after your elopement when you’re well-rested. Choose a restaurant with great food and a romantic atmosphere, and make sure to reserve in advance.

Most importantly, spend quality time with your partner and savor the moment. Don’t overpack your elopement day—relax and let the magic sink in.

"It’s something when a couple wants to dive into our knowledge base and is ready to plan their elopement with us. I like that! Hi, how are you doing today?"

A nap

  1. Elopement is over → nap for 4-5 hours.
  2. Enjoy a meal at a local restaurant nearby.
  3. Get a good night's sleep.
  4. Have your wedding celebration dinner the next day to fully enjoy it rested and relaxed.
  5. Take your time, enjoy the food, explore the city, and celebrate at your own pace.
