DRESS AND TUX: TO BUY OR TO RENT?

To read before going shopping

Short answer: bring your own dress.

Many clients ask us about renting dresses, but we don’t have any reliable recommendations. Renting is often complicated for tourists. You need to book a fitting days in advance, and the options are usually limited. This can cause extra stress, as you might worry about the dress and need last-minute alterations, which aren’t always easy to arrange. If you don’t find something that fits or that you love, it can be frustrating.

Based on feedback from previous clients, we do not recommend using local dress rental services. Many have reported issues such as dirty or damaged dresses, or rentals being overpriced.

That’s why we suggest bringing your own dress and suit unless you know a rental company you trust. While buying can be challenging, it gives you peace of mind and a more personal experience.
