What to Rehearse For the Ceremony

To read a couple of weeks before the date

Practice standing for 2-3 minutes, looking at each other. Keep your backs straight, a light smile, and your chin held gracefully high. The bride can hold something to replace the bouquet. While the groom should stand tall. No matter what happens, avoid putting your hands in your pockets during the ceremony. The only exception is to briefly reach for a pocket to wipe away tears. Otherwise, hands should remain out of pockets during the ceremony.

We recommend recording yourself on your iPhone to see how your posture looks from the side. By the third take, you'll likely find the perfect posture, as well as the ideal chin and hand positions for the ceremony. Why should you do this? I won't be able to assist during the ceremony—no one can intervene.

There are three types of kisses that couple can do after the ceremony.
Please choose one and rehearse it. And video it too. Which one is your favourite?

Opening a champagne bottle can be scary for the first time. The high pressure can cause the cork to pop unexpectedly. Proper technique is needed to remove the cork safely. Excitement can make it difficult to focus.

It takes practice to get comfortable with it. Get a bottle of champagne with a cork to open it so you won’t be scared. It doesn’t have to be expensive champagne; any prosecco with a cork will work.
