Jade and Nick met a long time ago. They’re a true go-getter power couple who love staying active, hitting the gym, exploring local markets, and enjoying amazing food together.
elopement details:
Season: Late May
Package: Carousel package
Ceremony: Avenue de Camoens
Photos: Pl de Mexico, Louvre gallery
Time Spent Planning: 2 Months
The Weather: Rainy Day
from Australia, Melbourne
Jade described her vision: “I am looking for a very specific photography style, darker than classic wedding photos. We want something that’s romantic but edgy and cool.
Moody. Cinematic. ”
Jade wanted to do something non-traditional. She messaged us with her inspo images, and Tim immediately understood the vision before even booking the date: darker editing, candid poses, nothing too formal. And the locations…not your typical Eiffel Tower views. They had to be special, like the Avenue de Camoens ceremony. Tim created a plan for the couple, and the bride loved every detail. The couple's story begins here.
Jade and Nick both have plenty of experience in front of the camera.
They know how to relax and have fun, which is why they confidently chose poses like lifts, runs, and spins.
When Jade started dress shopping, she wanted something modern and chic. She decided on a red and white color palette. And her dream dress was an off-the-shoulder mini with a bow detail on one arm. Jade asked for long stem bouquet of dark red roses, tied with a white ribbon.
She said, "I knew I wanted a white mini dress and something that would be cute and effortless."

Paris street ceremony
Here is the timeline that Tim created for their May elopement day:
4 to 6 AM: Bridal hair and makeup
6:15 AM: Pickup
6:30 AM Ceremony
7 to 10 AM Paris photoshoot
Around 10:30 AM: The couple drove back to their Paris hotel
Most locations in Paris are quite bright and airy. Trocadéro and the River Seine have a lot of sky and open space. But our couple didn’t want that. Jade and Nick wanted a Parisian view with the Eiffel Tower, yet in a more private, intimate setting. Tim suggested doing the ceremony on the quiet street of Avenue de Camoens.
"A Paris street ceremony was a perfect idea. It gives the moody vibe we were after, while still including the cityscape," said Jade.
Paris photoshoot begins
Why they decided to elope to Paris?
Because it's the city of LOVE!
For the photoshoot, Jade and Nick asked for fun, chic pictures in the streets with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Regarding editing, they preferred a natural look, with only minor touch-ups. Adjustments to lighting and some black & white edits.
“Nothing too ‘posey’ we love the candid vibe!” said Jade.
Posing like this is pretty advanced. And the couple needs to do some fitness regularly to pull off spins and lifts. Tim totally helps with poses, but honestly, to really open up in front of the camera like this and have zero awkwardness, you need to do a lot of photoshoots.
We would say that if you want the same effect in your photos, realistically you need to have some acting skills.
And of course, you need to wear a short dress to pull off poses like these.
If you are wearing a long dress, don’t even think about doing them, these moves are only for short dresses. With a long dress, it’s basically impossible to run or spin, you’ll just get tangled up.
SHORT DRESS ONLY.
Jade and Nick,
Huge congratulations to Jade and Nick on their Paris wedding
From the very beginning, I planned every location carefully to make sure the whole shoot had a consistent style. I had to be honest with the bride and explain that some of the places she wanted simply wouldn’t work because of the lighting. It’s never easy to say no to a client, but sometimes it’s necessary. We’ve lived and worked in Paris for many years, and I know the light on every street. I loved working with Jade and Nick, they did amazing job with posing.
tim: planning and photography
I stayed in touch with Jade via email from start to finish. The bride shared all her requests, and I focused on selecting the perfect fred roses and organizing the makeup details
Helen: communication and flowers
As the officiant, I wrote the ceremony script, and made sure the day was sweet and lovely. Avenue Camoens is a nice street for your summer ceremony for two. Who's in?

Nick said, "I want to kiss my future wife in a memorable way. I think either lifting her or doing a low dip, and we are rehearsing it."
Their love story began almost 8 years ago, in the winter of 2017. Jade and Nick never expected that a first date with mini golf and cocktails would mark the beginning of forever, but it was the perfect start.
Together, they’ve built a warm and vibrant life by the bay, filled with weekly beach walks.
"We share love of finding the perfect sandwich spot," said Jade.
Together, they hunt for Melbourne’s best iced lattes...
For the second location, the bride chose the Louvre and a beautiful gallery. It was a rainy day, so photos in the gallery were the perfect option.
“We're happy to take on your guidence if you think there's something that will help to replicate our Pinterest board” said Jade.
If you want those trendy, editorial-style wedding photos that look straight out of Pinterest, here’s how to make it happen. The secret is to move, not pose. Walk, spin, laugh and let your personality shine. Rehearse all your poses at home. If you’re unsure, record a quick video together to see how you look when doing moves like a spin.
Choose a short, playful dress that lets you dance and run freely. Keep everything in movement, a little wind in your hair is always great since authenticity is the new luxury. Add bold accessories like statement earrings and chic heels.
