bonjour, Paris

Everything
is tiny in Paris

To read before the flights

One thing that surprises first-time visitors to Paris is how tiny everything is.

The streets are narrow, and the apartments are small. This is because Paris is a very old city, built long before modern city planning. Back then, streets were made for walking and horse carriages, not cars, and buildings were designed to fit into these tight spaces. So, everything is more compact, but that’s part of the city’s charm!

Hotel rooms in Paris, even in 5-star hotels, are very small. Often, there's just enough space for a bed and a little room to move around.

In Paris, these 3 things are small:
  • the streets
  • hotel rooms
  • café tables.
