Brittany and Michael, both born and raised in New York. They met at a bar after a comedy show in New York City in 2017 and are each other’s best friend and soulmate. While they planned a European trip filled with classic tourist activities, they wanted to add a special, personal touch with a Paris elopement.
elopement details:
Season: Late November
Package: Carousel plus a private location
Ceremony: The Peninsula Paris
Photos: Trocadero, Pont Alexandre III, Louvre Gallery
The Weather: Rainy day
The Peninsula Paris
Brittany said, “We thought it would be really special to elope. We love each other and want our wedding to be about us, not about other people.”
From the moment they decided to elope, Brittany and Michael moved quickly. Everything was arranged in just 2 months. Wanting an intimate and meaningful experience, they reserved a suite at The Peninsula Paris. They confirmed their date with a deposit and completed the agreement. Over the following weeks, Brittany chose the spots that felt most personal.
And so, the couple’s story begins here.
“Our best impulsive decision! And we are so happy with it,” said the couple when they finally decided to get married in Paris.
The bride wore a Vera Wang dress from Pronovias. A high-neck, long-sleeve lace gown. Brittany wanted something classic with a lace neckline.
“I found my dream dress at the Pronovias store in NYC,” said Brittany.
“It’s November, so we booked a hotel for our elopement in case of bad weather and to do everything there,” said the couple.
Brittany chose a small, round ranunculus bouquet.
With just a little bit of a light greenery.
Brittany and Michael wanted a mix of two photo styles. Brittany mentioned that she likes a traditional style with formal portraits, but also wanted to add a few candid shots, for example, walking together, having fun, posing playfully, dancing, and enjoying the moment. At the same time, the main style of the shoot needed to remain classic and traditional. Formal enough to be meaningful to look back on years from now.
That is exactly what we did. We focused mostly on classic, refined poses that show the couple in the best light, highlighting their presence, style, and outfits, while occasionally adding candid moments.

The couple loves to travel, so they wanted to visit the most iconic locations. It was also important that the spots worked well for late November and colder weather. That is why we chose Pont Alexandre III, Trocadéro, and the Louvre.
“ I personally love the Louvre, Parisian bridges, and of course the Eiffel Tower, it is a classic for a reason” said Brittany.
“I work in Finance in Manhattan,” said Michael.
Louvre gallery is an amazing location for colder months and the light is always great here.
What could be better than, after a long cold day outside, coming back to your hotel for intimate couple photoshoot?
Peninsula Paris bar was opened specially for Brittany and Michael, with no one else around. Honestly, is there a better way to end your wedding day in a 5* hotel!
